There was no surprise in el Valle where 10th ranked Patriotas (1-19) were defeated by fifth ranked Astros (11-9) 79-63. Patriotas were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 24-4 charge of Astros, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Patriotas to just 4 points in fourth quarter. The winners were led by international point guard Leonardo Salazar (175-93) who scored that evening 27 points and 4 steals and American guard Deandre Williams (188-87, college: Palm Beach Atl.) supported him with 12 points and 8 assists. Four Astros players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds by Dominican Miguel Evangelista did not help to save the game for Patriotas.
