The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 64-56. Zamarat outrebounded Gipuzkoa UPV 44-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. Slovenian center Sandra Pirsic (196-84) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Zamarat will face Universitario de Ferrol at home in the next round. Gipuzkoa UPV will play against Gran Canaria (#6) in Las Palmas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
