Regular Season Round 1: Toulouse - Mondeville 64-69

An interesting game where Mondeville beat host Toulouse 69-64 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 36-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mondeville made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Canadian forward Kimberley Gaucher-Smith (186-84, college: Utah) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side international point guard Olivia Epoupa (165-94, agency: Comsport) responded with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals and Czech center Kamila Stepanova (191-88) scored 15 points. Four Mondeville and five Toulouse players scored in double figures. Mondeville will meet at home Charleville-Mez. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toulouse will play against Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan and hope to win that game.
