Regular Season Round 1: Nice - Arras 79-68

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Arras (0-1) on the court of Nice. Visitors were defeated by Nice 79-68. The game was mostly controlled by Nice. Arras was better in fourth quarter 22-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of German forward Romy Baer (187-87) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Nice players scored in double figures. Nice's coach Rachid Meziane allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA, agency: Two Points) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Dutch forward Chatilla Van Grinsven (190-89, college: St.Joseph's, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points in the effort for Arras. Nice will play against Lattes Montpellier on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arras will play against Nantes Reze to get more than just one victory in their record.
