A very interesting game took place in Buenos Aires. It ended with only two-point home defeat of Ferrocarril O. (0-3) to Obras Basket (2-0) 79-77 on Wednesday evening. Ferrocarril O. was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 47-42 second half run of Obras Basket. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Dennis Horner (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. International Selem Safar (190-87) chipped in 17 points. Four Obras Basket players scored in double figures. Obras Basket's coach Trifon Poch allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-85) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
