Boras Basket crushed Eco Orebro 106-82. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. Eco Orebro was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boras Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The former international center Michael Palm (210-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) chipped in 24 points. Boras Basket's coach Pat Ryan felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Bosnian Nebojsa Pavlovic (200-87) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Hungarian power forward Miklos Szabo (204-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Five Boras Basket and four Eco Orebro players scored in double figures. Boras Basket will play against Malbas in Malmo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Eco Orebro will play at home against Sundsvall Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
