Very expected game in Bergen where Ytrebygda (0-2) was crushed by Gimle (1-0) 71-41 on Friday. The game without a history. Gimle led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ytrebygda to just 2 points in fourth quarter and to 8 points in second half. Gimle dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Ytrebygda's 20. Gimle forced 25 Ytrebygda turnovers. Forward Birte Hegraenas (177-88) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Josefin Winther (180-86) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gimle players scored in double figures. point guard Solveig Mildestvedt (165-98) produced 15 points and guard Karoline Falch-Monsen (169-98) added 8 points respectively for lost side. Ytrebygda's coach Gunnar Nesbo already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Gimle will meet at home Asker in the next round.
