Regular Season Round 2: Spojnia - Pogon Prudnik 57-73

Spojnia was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Prudnik 73-57 on Saturday night. Pogon Prudnik made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-90) who scored 13 points and 4 assists. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. Four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Damian Pieloch (195-89) produced 9 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Rafal Bigus (214-76, college: Villanova) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pogon Prudnik will face Sokol Lancut at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Spojnia will play against Astoria Bydg. in Bydgoszcz and hope to win that game.
