Regular Season Round 2: Mollet - Masnou 73-68

Very predictable result when Mollet (2-0) won against at home Masnou (0-2) 73-68 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-68. Point guard Albert Ferrer (180-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Ramon Espuna (206-84) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Alberto Valle (186-81) replied with 25 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and forward Jaume Solans (197-91) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Masnou. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mollet will face Sant Lluis on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Masnou will play against Salt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
