Regular Season Round 1: AZS PS Gliwice - AZS PCz 85-60

AZS PS Gliwice used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Czestochowa 85-60 on Saturday night. AZS PS Gliwice forced 22 AZS PCz turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) stepped up and scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and center Piotr Krupa (204-88) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side forward Szymon Rynkiewicz (198-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Tomasz Nogalski (192-79) scored 19 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PS Gliwice will face AZS AWF M. II in Katowice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PCz will play at home against Wisla Krakow and hope to win that game.
