Regular Season Round 2: Kanazawa Samuraiz - Kyoto Hannar. 64-68

An interesting game was also tough home loss of Kanazawa Samuraiz in a game in Ishikawa versus undefeated Kyoto Hannar. (#7) 68-64. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kanazawa Samuraiz won third quarter 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Larry Owens (201-83, college: ORU, agency: Three Eye Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) supported him with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa Samuraiz. Guard Tsubasa Yonamine (173-83) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kanazawa Samuraiz will play again against Kyoto Hannar. and hope to win that game.
