Very significant was DCU Mercy's 19-point road victory against WIT Wildcats 73-54. They outrebounded WIT Wildcats 49-16 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. DCU Mercy brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. American forward Chelisa Painter (185, college: ODU) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 21 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import guard Maleeka Kynard (168, college: Xavier) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. DCU Mercy's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jazmen Boone (173, college: William & Mary) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Helena Rohan added 12 points respectively for WIT Wildcats in the defeat. DCU Mercy will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. WIT Wildcats will play on the road against P.Panthers in Portlaoise to get more than just one victory in their record.
