Regular Season Round 1: Kangoeroes - Limburg United 105-97

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Limburg United (0-1) in Willebroek. Visitors were defeated by Kangoeroes (1-0) 105-97. They made 28-of-34 charity shots (82.4 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Kangoeroes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Limburg United was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Vernon Taylor (192-87, college: Troy) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Senne Geukens (192-83) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American Scott Thomas (198-89, college: Bowling Green, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) answered with 24 points and the other American import Barry Stewart (190-88, college: Mississippi St.) added 19 points in the effort for Limburg United. Five Kangoeroes and four Limburg United players scored in double figures. Kangoeroes will play against Antwerp Giants on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Limburg United will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster to get more than just one victory in their record.
