Regular Season Round 2: Toyama Grouses - Iwate Big Bulls 66-63

Toyama Grouses used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Iwate 66-63 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Joho Masashi (183-82) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Toyama Grouses players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Toyama Grouses will face again Iwate Big Bulls at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
