Regular Season Round 3: Aomori Watts - Sendai 89ers 75-80

Aomori Watts were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Sendai 89ers shot 24 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Aomori Watts only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Aomori Watts 46-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) with 27 points and 7 rebounds and guard Daichi Shimoyama (181-89) scored 28 points. Sendai 89ers will face Tokyo Cinq R. (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
