Regular Season Round 1: Getafe - Granada 72-95

Date: October 4, 2015
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Getafe (0-1) in Madrid on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by CB Granada (1-0) 95-72. The game was mostly controlled by CB Granada. Getafe managed to win fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 34 personal fouls committed by Getafe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Duane James (196-83, college: Binghamton, agency: Duran International) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import guard John Schoof (196, college: his fellow American import, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 22 points. James is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. CB Granada's coach Pablo Pin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88, agency: Duran International) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Alvaro Martin (181-92, agency: Duran International) scored 11 points. Four Getafe players scored in double figures. CB Granada is looking forward to face Cambados (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Getafe will play against Moron (#7) in MorĂ³n de la Frontera and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
