Regular Season Round 3: Hamamatsu P. - Takamatsu FA 72-61

There was a small surprise in Mikawa where Hamamatsu Phoenix (1-1) defeated Takamatsu FA (1-1) 72-61 on Sunday. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Tomoya Higashino used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Hamamatsu Phoenix will face Kyoto Hannar. (#7) on the road in the next round. Takamatsu FA will play against Oita Heat Devils and hope to win that game.
