Regular Season Round 2: Gimle - Asker 47-58

Gimle (1-1) recorded a loss in Bergen on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Asker (1-1) 58-47. The game was mostly controlled by Asker. Gimle managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimle to just 6 points in second quarter. The best player for the winners was Hungarian center Edina Urmos (185-86) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Julie Skorpen (165-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists. Swingman Josefin Winther (180-86) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and forward Birte Hegraenas (177-88) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Asker is looking forward to face Ullern in Oslo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gimle will play on the road against Hoybraten in Oslo and is hoping to win this game.
