Regular Season Round 2: Chalon - Le Mans 95-77

There was a small surprise when Chalon/Saor (1-1) beat at home Le Mans (1-1) 95-77. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Le Mans was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Chalon/Saor players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Jeremy Hazell (191-86, college: Seton Hall) supported him with 22 points. Chalon/Saor's coach Jean-Denys Choulet allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 4 assists by American point guard Jason Westrol (191-88, college: Bentley) did not help to save the game for Le Mans. The former international Mickael Gelabale (202-83, agency: Beo Basket) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's next round opponent will be STB Le Havre at home and are hoping to win another game.
