There was no surprise in Caceres where Oviedo (0-2) was crushed by Al-Qazeres (2-0) 98-43 on Saturday. The game without a history. Al-Qazeres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oviedo to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Al-Qazeres dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Oviedo's 38 and had 21 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Oviedo only scored two points from the stripe. Al-Qazeres forced 27 Oviedo turnovers and outrebounded them 53-20 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Senegalese center Marieme Cisse (196-95, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Five Al-Qazeres players scored in double figures. Al-Qazeres' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Andrea Pujol (-97) produced 7 points and Elena Del Busto added 9 points respectively for the guests. Al-Qazeres will face ADBA in Aviles in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oviedo will play on the road against C.Adelantados in San Cristobal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
