Regular Season Round 2: Gimbasket WRC - Gornik Walbrzych 38-69

Everything went according to plan in Wroclaw where Gornik (2-0) outleveled Gimbasket WRC (0-2) 69-38 on Saturday. Gornik dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Gimbasket WRC's 22. Gornik forced 22 Gimbasket WRC turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Bartlomiej Ratajczak (197-91) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Marcin Wrobel (200-87) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. Gornik's coach Arkadiusz Chlebda felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Bartosz Zajac (195-91) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and guard Michal Kamberski (188-96) added 15 points and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Gornik will face Rawia (#7) in Rawicz in the next round where they are favorite. Gimbasket WRC will play on the road against Gniezno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
