Regular Season Round 4: Fukushima - Toyama Grouses 76-73

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Toyama Grouses (2-1) were edged on the road by sixth ranked Fukushima (2-1) 76-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-73. The game was also dominated by American players. Swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) fired 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Stephan Van Treese (206-90, college: Louisville, agency: Two Points) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Duke Crews (203-88, college: Bowie St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds and forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific) added 25 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Fukushima moved-up to third place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Toyama Grouses. Fukushima will face again Toyama Grouses (#6) at home in the next round.
