Regular Season Round 2: Zabok - KK Split 77-79

A very interesting game took place in Zabok. It ended with only two-point home defeat of KK Zabok (0-1) to KK Split (1-1) 79-77 on Saturday evening. KK Zabok cut a 14-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. 26 personal fouls committed by KK Zabok helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Toni Dijan (205-83, agency: PEPI SPORT) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Power forward Josip Jukic (207-96) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Ivan Vucic (196-96, agency: XL Basketball Agency) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ante Gospic (203-90, college: Flagler, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KK Zabok. Four KK Zabok players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KK Split's next round opponent will be Vrijednosnice OS in Osijek where they are favorite. KK Zabok will play on the road against KK Zagreb and hope to win that game.
