Regular Season Round 3: Aalstar - Antwerp 101-82

Okapi Aalstar used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Antwerp 101-82 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Okapi Aalstar. Antwerp Giants managed to win third quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okapi Aalstar had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Okapi Aalstar looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Antwerp Giants' players. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Abe Lodwick (201-88, college: Washington St.) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 18 points and forward Carleton Scott (203-88, college: Notre Dame, agency: Inception Sports) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Antwerp Giants players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Okapi Aalstar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Antwerp Giants will play against Liege Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
