Regular Season Round 3: Gravelines - Chalons-Reims 82-90

There was an upset when Gravelines-Dunkerque (2-1) lost at home to Chalons-Reims (1-2) 90-82 on Saturday. Chalons-Reims made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Chalons-Reims outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Gravelines-Dunkerque was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American swingman Alex Young (198-89, college: IUPUI, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Michel Morandais (196-79, college: Colorado) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) answered with 18 points and Georgian point guard Giorgi Tsintsadze (192-86) added 14 points in the effort for Gravelines-Dunkerque. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chalons-Reims will face Paris-Levallois (#18) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against JSF Nanterre (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
