Regular Season Round 3: Mulhouse - Maurienne 69-73

There was a minor upset when Mulhouse Basket (2-1) was defeated at home by Aix-Maurienne (2-1) 73-69 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-69. It was a great evening for American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Naturalized Algerian Karim Atamna (196-80) helped adding 10 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Mathieu Bigote (190-84) with 21 points and center Mourad Benkloua (206-92) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aix-Maurienne will face UB Chartres at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mulhouse Basket will play against ADA Blois and hope to win that game.
