There was a surprise result when Strasbourg IG (2-1) defeated at home Olympique Antibes (1-1) 71-62 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strasbourg IG forced 21 Olympique Antibes turnovers. Olympique Antibes was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for international guard Paul Lacombe (195-90, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 14 points. American forward Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) contributed with 11 points for the winners. American Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Paul Carter (205-87, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Olympique Antibes.
