Regular Season Round 4: Iwate Big Bulls - Saitama Bron. 87-55

Both tenth ranked Iwate Big Bulls and bottom-ranked Saitama Broncos had identical 0-2 record. This time Iwate Big Bulls used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Saitama 87-55 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Iwate Big Bulls. Saitama Broncos was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Saitama Broncos to just 6 points in first quarter. Iwate Big Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 30. Iwate Big Bulls forced 23 Saitama Broncos turnovers and outrebounded them 48-31 including 20 on the offensive glass. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iwate Big Bulls (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams. It was Saitama Broncos' third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face again Saitama Broncos (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
