Regular Season Round 4: Fukuoka Rizing - Hiroshima L. 101-74
Date: October 10, 2015
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (2-1) smashed at home bottom-ranked Hiroshima L. (0-2) 101-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Hiroshima L. was better in second period 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Hiroshima L.'s players. American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Taishiro Shimizu (183-81) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) produced 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Adam Herman (199-91, college: Concordia, OR) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Fukuoka Rizing and four Hiroshima L. players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to third place, which they share with 6 other teams. Newly promoted Hiroshima L. still closes the standings with two games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face again Hiroshima L. (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
