Regular Season Round 3: AZS AWF Mick. - GKS Tychy 65-69

There was a surprise result when GKS Tychy (1-2) won against AZS AWF Mick. (1-2) in Katowice 69-65 on Saturday. Strangely AZS AWF Mick. outrebounded GKS Tychy 38-25 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. Forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and guard Lukasz Szczypka (185-80) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for AZS AWF Mick. in the defeat. AZS AWF Mick.'s coach Miroslaw Stawowski let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. GKS Tychy will meet SKK Siedlce (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS AWF Mick. will play against Slask 2 Wroclaw (#12) and hope to win that game.
