Regular Season Round 2: JX-Eneos S. - Denso Iris 74-62

No shocking result in a game when JX-Eneos S. (2-0) beat Denso Iris (0-2) in Kashiwa 74-62. It looked good early as Denso Iris took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then JX-Eneos S. had a 17-9 second period charge getting the lead and Denso Iris were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-74. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Denso Iris' 24. JX-Eneos S. had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). International point guard Asami Yoshida (165-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. International Kyoko Ito (-90) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international center Sakura Akaho (182-96) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JX-Eneos S. will have a break next round. Denso Iris will play at home against Haneda Vickies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
