There was no surprise when FC Barcelona II (1-1) was defeated at home by Castello (1-1) 82-77 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 18-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Brandon Garrett (206-90, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Czech Lubos Barton (202-80, college: Valparaiso) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Castello will meet at home Planasa NV in the next round and are hoping to win another game. FC Barcelona II will play against Lobe Huesca and hope to win that game.
