Regular Season Round 4: Baerum Basket - Ammerud Bskt 80-89

BLNO top team - Ammerud Bskt (3-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Baerum Basket (1-2) in Bekkestua 89-80. Ammerud Bskt dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Baerum Basket's 38 and made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Ammerud Bskt forced 24 Baerum Basket turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Ronald Timus (196-84, college: Morgan St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and American-Somalian point guard Zaki Ise Mohamed (183-87, college: New Hampshire) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Mohamed is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Mike Bruesewitz (201-90, college: Wisconsin) did not help to save the game for Baerum Basket. point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) added 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Baerum Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ammerud Bskt have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record, which they share with Tromso. Baerum Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Kongsberg and Fyllingen BBK. Ammerud Bskt will play against Froya Basket in Laksevag in the next round. Baerum Basket will play on the road against Gimle BBK in Bergen to get more than just one victory in their record.
