Regular Season Round 1: Maccabi T-A - Maccabi K/G 89-65

Maccabi T-A used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Kiryat Gat 89-65 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Brian Randle (203-85) fired 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Yogev Ohayon (189-87) chipped in 10 points and 8 assists. Maccabi T-A's coach Guy Goodes felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and the other American import point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Maccabi T-A and four Maccabi K/G players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A will meet Bnei Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi K/G will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
