Regular Season Round 5: Fukuoka Rizing - Hiroshima L. 105-75

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Hiroshima L. (0-3) was smashed on the road by third ranked Fukuoka Rizing (3-1) 105-75 on Sunday. Fukuoka Rizing forced 20 Hiroshima L. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hiroshima L.'s players. American players dominated the game. Lewis Donovan orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Adam Herman (199-91, college: Concordia, OR) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hiroshima L.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Hiroshima L. still closes the standings with three games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Shiga L-Stars (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hiroshima L. will play against Takamatsu FA (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
