There was a small surprise in Zaragoza where eleventh ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (2-2) defeated 8th ranked Mann Filter (2-2) 62-55 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-10. But Mann Filter won second period 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Cierra Bravard (193-89, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (185-84) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Gipuzkoa UPV players scored in double figures. American center Britany Miller (192-87, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and Bulgarian Jaklin Zlatanova (190-88) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gipuzkoa UPV moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Mann Filter. Gipuzkoa UPV will face higher ranked Socinsa Bembibre (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
