Regular Season Round 2: Asseco - PGE Turow 77-75

Date: October 14, 2015
No shocking result in a game when Asseco (3-0) edged PGE Turow (1-2) in Gdynia 77-75 on Wednesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 29-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Asseco made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Asseco outrebounded PGE Turow 53-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. PGE Turow was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Filip Matczak (187-93) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import Cameron Tatum (200-88, college: Tennessee) added 19 points in the effort for PGE Turow. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Asseco will face Rosa (#15) in Radom in the next round which should be an easy win for them. PGE Turow will play on the road against Anwil (#2) in Wloclawek and hope to win that game.
