Regular Season Round 4: Udominate - Telge 80-59

Date: October 14, 2015
Telge (4-1) recorded its first loss in Umea. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Udominate (4-1) 80-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Telge. Telge was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 45-21 second half run of Udominate. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Telge to just 6 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Telge's 24 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Udominate forced 20 Telge turnovers. The winners were led by American guard Hollie Mershon (178-90, college: Drexel, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Italian guard Ilaria Zanoni (180-86) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Udominate players scored in double figures. Udominate's coach Tamara Ruzic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) did not help to save the game for Telge. Her fellow American import Ashley Daniels (186-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Udominate have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Telge. Udominate will play against Alvik Basket (#4) in Stockholm in the next round. Telge will play at home against Akropol and hopes to get back on the winning track.
