Regular Season Round 4: Karlovka - Nitra 78-67

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Karlovka as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Karlovka defeated bottom-ranked Nitra in Bratislava 78-67. Karlovka made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Michal Kozar (191-90) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Robert Becarik (183-91) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Karlovka players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Filip Simic (185-90, agency: Beo Basket) replied with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists and Serbian forward Filip Pejovic (198-89, college: Erskine) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nitra. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Karlovka have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Nitra at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Nitra will play next round against Rieker KN trying to get back on the winning streak. Karlovka will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Prievidza on the road.
