Regular Season Round 2: United - 36ers 84-75

Host United (3-0) defeated Adelaide 36ers (1-2) 84-75. It looked good early as Adelaide 36ers took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then United had a 23-20 second period charge getting the lead and Adelaide 36ers were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-84. The former international power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. American power forward Hakim Warrick (206-82, college: Syracuse) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five United players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Adam Gibson (188-86) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Adelaide 36ers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. United's next round opponent will be Cairns Taipans at home, which may be the game of the day. Adelaide 36ers will play against Kings in Sydney and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
