Regular Season Round 3: Cieszyn - MKS DG 2 100-86

Very expected game when MKS DG 2 (0-3) lost on the road to Cieszyn (2-1) 100-86 on Saturday. Cieszyn dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 38. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 47-19 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cieszyn looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by MKS DG 2's players. It was a good game for center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 25 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Leszek Siwy (196-83) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) answered with 18 points and 4 assists and Pawel Glaeske (196-98) added 17 points in the effort for MKS DG 2. Four Cieszyn and five MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cieszyn will face Zaglebie (#9) in Sosnowiec in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. MKS DG 2 will play at home against AZS PS Gliwice and hopes to get finally their first victory.
