Regular Season Round 3: Segle XXI - Plenilunio 56-57

Very predictable result when Plenilunio (2-1) edged Segle XXI (0-3) in Barcelona 57-56 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Segle XXI won third quarter 14-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) who saved her team from a defeat with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Alicia Alonso (175-81) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. point guard Aina Ayuso (181-99) answered with 27 points and 7 rebounds and center Laia Sole (184-98) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Segle XXI. Segle XXI's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Plenilunio will face UCAM Jairis (#8) in Alcantarilla in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Segle XXI will play on the road against Leganes (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
