The game in Lattes was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Nantes Reze (2-2) played at the court of eighth ranked Lattes Montpellier (2-1). Lattes Montpellier defeated Nantes Reze 68-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Lattes Montpellier. Nantes Reze was better in fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lattes Montpellier dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Nantes Reze's 26. It was a very good performance for American center Mistie Bass (191-83, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Anael Lardy (170-87, agency: Comsport) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Margaux Galliou-Loko (183-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nantes Reze. Lattes Montpellier moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bourges. Loser Nantes Reze keeps the seventh position with two games lost. Lattes Montpellier will face bottom-ranked COB Calais (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nantes Reze will play against Basket Landes (#3) and hope to win that game.
