Regular Season Round 2: Viterbo - Viareggio 64-60 OT

No shocking result in a game when Viterbo (2-0) won against at home Viareggio (0-2) 64-60 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime then Viareggio managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Viterbo who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 8-4. They also forced 20 Viareggio turnovers. Giulia Ciavarella (181-97) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bulgarian forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Croatian guard Ana Bozic (176-88) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Lisa Tripalo (176-87) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Viterbo will face Bologna at home in the next round. Viareggio will play against Salerno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
