Regular Season Round 2: Albino - Marghera 64-62

A very interesting game took place in Albino. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Marghera (0-2) to Albino (2-0) 64-62 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-17. But Marghera won second period 12-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Croatian center Gordana Bedalov (191-84, college: FIU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Albino's coach Michele Pasqua allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Erika Striulli (170-90) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Carla Fabris (185-86) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Marghera. Albino's next round opponent will be Bolzano on the road and are hoping to win another game. Marghera will play against Virtus Cagliari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
