Regular Season Round 3: WIT Wildcats - Liffey Celtics 76-69

WIT Wildcats used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kildare 76-69. Strangely Liffey Celtics outrebounded WIT Wildcats 41-19 including a 34-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Jazmen Boone (173, college: William & Mary) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Helena Rohan helped adding 25 points and 4 steals. Four WIT Wildcats players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-British forward Meagan Hoffman (183-82, college: Adams St.) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Suzanne Maguire (183-75) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Liffey Celtics' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. WIT Wildcats will play against TM Hotel Cork on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Liffey Celtics will play against DCU Mercy (#1) to get more than just one victory in their record.
