Regular Season Round 3: SIG - Aulnoye 51-68

Aulnoye delivered the third consecutive victory. This time they beat SIG (1-2) 68-51 in llkirch-Graff.. Aulnoye dominated on the defensive end, holding SIG to just 6 points in third quarter. Aulnoye had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for naturalized DR Congolese forward Lorraine Lokoka (184-89) who led her team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Forward Marie Frederique Ayissi (184-82) contributed with 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Aulnoye's coach Abdel Bellouni allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Serbian guard Ljiljana Tomasevic (174-88) answered with 13 points and center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for SIG. Aulnoye will play against Roche in La Roche in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SIG will play on the road against Reims (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
