Regular Season Round 3: Niigata R. - Chanson V-M 65-85

Very expected game in Tokyo where Niigata R. (0-4) was crushed by Chanson V-M (3-1) 85-65. It looked good early as Niigata R. took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Chanson V-M had a 22-11 second period charge getting the lead and Niigata R. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-85. Chanson V-M brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. It was a good game for center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) who led her team to a victory with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). International forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks for the winners. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and guard Inamoto Satoko (165-84) added 15 points in the effort for Niigata R.Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
