Very important is a road loss of FIATC Joventut (1-1) against Valencia Basket (2-0) on Sunday night. Visiting FIATC Joventut was defeated by Valencia Basket in a tough game in Valencia 69-76. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-69. Valencia Basket made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 FIATC Joventut turnovers. Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Fernando San Emeterio (199-84) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Bosnian-Croatian center Goran Suton (208-85, college: Michigan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Brandon Paul (193-91, college: Illinois) scored 20 points. FIATC Joventut will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
