The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Anwil (2-0) 85-61. The game without a history. Anwil led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Nigerian Chamberlain Oguchi (196-86, college: Illinois St., agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. Czech swingman David Jelinek (196-90) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. American center Darrius Garrett (206-90, college: Richmond) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Marcin Sroka (201-81, agency: Promotex) added 14 points in the effort for Stal Ostrow Wlkp.Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Anwil is looking forward to face PGE Turow (#10) in Zgorzelec in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will play on the road against Rosa in Radom and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
